• Account information: Email address and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication).
• Audio recordings: Voice recordings made during interview practice sessions. These are processed for speech analysis and are not permanently stored on our servers.
• Usage data: Practice session results, scores, and statistics stored in Firebase Firestore linked to your account.
• Device information: Basic device data collected automatically by Firebase (iOS version, app version).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the interview practice features of the app.
• To analyse your speech and provide English proficiency feedback.
• To manage your subscription and AI credits balance.
• To save your practice history and statistics across sessions.
• To send password reset emails when requested.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• OpenAI: When using AI-powered analysis, audio recordings are sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription and GPT for scoring. Audio is processed transiently and not stored by OpenAI beyond processing. OpenAI Privacy Policy

4. Microphone and Camera Access

The app requires access to your device's microphone and camera solely to record your interview practice responses. Recordings are processed locally and/or sent to OpenAI for analysis when AI features are enabled. We do not share recordings with any other third parties.

Speech recognition is used to provide real-time transcription of your responses during practice sessions.

5. Data Retention

Your account data (email, scores, statistics) is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen, which permanently removes all your data from our systems.

Audio recordings are processed in real time and are not permanently stored on our servers.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase security rules that restrict access to your data to your account only.

7. Your Privacy Rights (Worldwide)

Regardless of where you are located, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Settings → Delete Account), or contact us to request deletion.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
• Objection: Object to the processing of your data.
• Opt-out: You may stop using the app and request deletion of your data at any time.

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) also have rights under GDPR. Users in California have rights under CCPA. Users in other jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable local laws.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
